The Salbutamol Inhaler, otherwise known as the blue “reliever inhaler” is used to treat asthma by opening up airways and making it easier to breathe.

  • To ensure good asthma control, we issue a maximum 2 inhalers in any 12 week period. If you require an inhaler more frequently, it may be a sign that you need to have your asthma reviewed.

    The generic ones tend to clog quite frequently making the last few puffs difficult to get out, especially frustrating if it’s the last one you have! My advice is to go for the Ventolin which I’ve not had any problems with.

    Really glad I found e-Surgery. Needed a spare inhaler as I keep leaving mine at home and my GP wont give me a second one for work.
