COPD Rescue Pack

A COPD rescue pack is intended for those who suffer with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) to be used when a reliever inhaler is no longer providing relief.
You can choose between
- Amoxicillin 500mg (one tablet, 3 times a day) for 7 days with prednisolone 30mg (6 tablets once a day) for 5 days
- Doxycycline 100mg (take 2 tablets on day one, then one tablet each day for the following 6 days) with prednisolone 30mg (6 tablets once a day) for 5 days
Please note, our prescribers may contact you to recommend a different antibiotic than the one you have chosen. This is to avoid antibiotic resistance.
